General: When choosing to play at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre you agree to accept the golf booking terms and conditions as detailed below, and which from time to time may be amended. You are also expected to follow the basic guidelines for etiquette, pace of play, use of hire equipment and centre dress code whilst on and around the course.
Tee Times & Deposits: All visitor Main and Shey Course bookings require a deposit to secure the tee time; tee times not secured with deposit on these courses are not confirmed bookings. The required deposit is equivalent to 3 green fees per tee time before 1.00pm at weekends and bank holidays on the Main course, and 1 green fee per tee time at any other time on the Main and Shey.
Checking In: Members & visitors are advised to check in at the pro shop at least 20 minutes prior to the pre booked tee time, If you or any of your party fail to be ready play on the tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time the centre reserves the right to move your booking to the next available time, or subject to availability mandate you and your party start from an alternative hole, either 4th or 10th. No refunds or credits will be given for members or visitors arriving late for tee times, if we are unable to provide an alternative tee time or starting hole on the same day.
Cancellations: Cancellations to tee times can be made up to 24 hours in advance of the pre booked tee time. All bookings cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full credit for any deposit paid. Failure to cancel within 24 hours will make the deposit non-refundable. All deposits taken within 24 hours of the tee time booked are automatically non refundable.
No Shows and Shortfalls: Failure to arrive for any reason (no show) for a pre booked tee time, will result in the deposit being retained by the Centre, for any weekend or bank holiday bookings where a minimum of 3 green fee deposits are required, and on the day only 1 or 2 guests arrive the remaining deposit will be retained by the Centre.
Golfing Ability: In choosing to play the main course at Ramsdale Park, you are expected to be able to play to a handicap of 28 or less (ladies 36 or less), HGC reserves the right to transfer you to either the Shey or Maybury, if you are in the opinion of the warden/duty manager delaying the pace of play. In this event no refund or credit will be due.
Refunds and Credits: In accordance with our standard policies, refunds or credits are not available for delays on course due to slow play in matches ahead or poor weather conditions. Any credits given are at the sole discretion of the duty manager. In the event of issuing a credit, the duty manager’s decision is final.
Weather Conditions: British weather is historically known to be unpredictable throughout the season, therefore no concession or refund will be made for heavy or persistent rain, sleet, snow or any other poor weather conditions experienced whilst playing at Ramsdale Park.
Course Closures: If the management is forced to close the course on the grounds of Health & Safety, then any customers deposits paid are refundable or credited to a future booking. Only the duty manager on the day can deem the course closed.
GROUP GOLF DAYS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Confirmation
On receipt of a completed booking form together with a non-refundable deposit of £100 a contract will be deemed to exist between Ramsdale Park Golf Centre (the ‘Company’) and the person or body booking the golf day (the 'Customer').
Cancellations for Golf Groups
i) Cancellation within 3 months to 7 days prior then the Customer shall be charged and invoiced 50% of the estimated value of the booking as calculated by multiplying the number of reserved places by the average value of each place reserved or may book another date within 2 months from the original booking, where the booking can be moved.
ii) Cancellation less than 7 days prior to the date then the Customer shall be charged 50% of the estimated value of the booking as calculated above.
Reductions in Numbers for Golf Groups
In the event of the Customer wishing to reduce the number of places reserved then the following conditions will apply, The standard notice period is 48 hours in advance to confirm final numbers for all golf events. Final amendments can be made up to 24 hours before the event date.
If notice of a reduction in the number of places is received by the Company either on the event day or less than 24 hours before the event date then the Customer shall be charged a £10.00 shortfall fee per person, for every reserved place confirmed in final numbers but NOT used on the day.
Golfing Ability

Account Settlement
Societies (of under 40 players) are required to settle their account on the day prior to play commencing. Societies (of 40 players & over) are required to settle a proportion (usually 50%) of the total estimated account prior to the day. A breakdown will be sent of payments to be made and dates by which these are required. For corporate groups, full payment of the total estimated account is required to be paid in advance of the day booked. In the event of a golf day being booked by an agent the Company reserves the right to hold both the agent and the Customer jointly and severally responsible for the settlement of all accounts arising in connection with the booking.
Liability
Neither the Company nor its agents or servants shall be held responsible for any claims for loss or damage to property or for any injuries sustained by those visiting the premises.
Cancellation by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel the booking on immediate notice if the holding of the golf day/group is prevented by reasons beyond its control. In the event that the booking is cancelled by the Company any monies paid on deposit will be reimbursed by the Company, and the Company shall not be liable for any other matters whatsoever.
RANGE CARD CREDIT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The use of Range Cards (or any other Burhill issued card with range credit) is offered in conjunction with the current terms and conditions of use.
Any range credit put onto these Range Cards, must be redeemed within 48 months (4 years) from the date of purchase, as clearly printed on the till receipt. After this period all outstanding credit will be automatically cleared down. The Company cannot be held responsible for any outstanding range credit after this period has elapsed. No refunds or credits will be given at such time. Please ensure you keep your till receipts as proof of when you last put credit on to the card. Please ensure you keep us updated of any change of contact details, so we can keep your record up to date. Please ensure you keep your Range Card in a safe place and report any damaged, lost or stolen cards at your earliest convenience.
PLAYER CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
As a Player Card holder, you agree to receiving e-mail and postal communications from properties within the Burhill Golf and Leisure group. Your details will not be passed to any third parties.
Bookings are at the discretion of Ramsdale Park Golf Centre, whose decision shall be final in all matters concerning the booking. Bookings will not be confirmed until an application has been received on the prescribed form and the specified security deposit paid and the booking confirmed by Ramsdale Park Golf Centre. Full payment is required no less than 8 weeks prior to your event.
The room(s) shall be left in a reasonable condition. Should additional cleaning be necessary or damage/loss occur, the Hirer shall pay to Ramsdale Park Golf Centre the amount reasonable requested to make good or remedy any such expense loss/damage.
Once a date has been agreed upon by both Ramsdale Park Golf Centre and the function organiser, a non-refundable £500 deposit is required. This is to accompany the completed booking form.
6 months prior to the date of the function a further £500 non-refundable deposit is required.
8 weeks prior to the date of the function the remaining balance is required.
Upon cancellation, the following conditions apply in respect of the refund:-
If the function is cancelled up to 6 months before the date then the £500 deposit is lost.
If the function is cancelled between 6 months and 8 weeks before the function then the full £1,000 deposit is lost.
If the function is cancelled less then 8 weeks prior to the function then the whole of the monies will be lost.
All prices/charges are inclusive of Value Added Tax unless specified. If the rate of VAT increases, Ramsdale Park Golf Centre reserves the right to change prices/charges accordingly.
The Hirer is responsible for the actions and their consequences (if any) of all their guests, employees and sub-contractors.
It is strict Company policy that no alcoholic liquor, non-alcoholic drink or food may be brought onto the premises.
The finishing time stated shall be the time when the function room(s) shall be cleared and the Hirer's guests vacate the complex, not when the function ceases.
No bolts, nails, screws, tacks, drawing pins, Sellotape shall be fixed to any part of the premises, nor shall any placecards, banners or smaller articles be fixed either internally or externally without the prior written consent of Ramsdale Park Golf Centre.
No inflammable, dangerous or offensive article, nor any animal (other than registered guide dogs) shall be brought onto the premises without the prior written consent of Ramsdale Park Golf Centre.
No person under the age of 18 shall be permitted to purchase or consume intoxicating drinks.
Ramsdale Park Golf Centre reserves the right to conclude any function which, in its opinion, is unsuitable or not properly conducted and in such cases, no part of the payment shall be returnable whatsoever.
Ramsdale Park Golf Centre shall not be liable, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any personal, indirect, consequential or economic losses howsoever arising, including those arising from services or products supplied by third parties.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England.
All arrangements regarding the Hirer’s requirements (i.e minimum final number of guests, menus, layout etc) shall be confirmed to Ramsdale Park Golf Centre not less than 8 weeks prior to the date of the booking. *Additional guests and final changes to menu and room layout can be made up to 14 days in advance of booking.
Ramsdale Park Golf Centre reserves the right to change menu content without prior notice.
Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue from the date when payment becomes due, and daily therein, until the date of payment at a rate of 4% above Barclays Bank PLC’s base rate from time to time in force and shall accrue at such a rate after, as well as before any judgement.
Prices quoted in our current brochure are subject to increase after 31 December annually.
