Steve Sayers
Head Golf Professional
With 15 years experience as a Head Professional I’ve been fortunate to work with many other professionals in the golf and sporting arenas. This has formed my ethos for golf and personal development.
My philosophy is simple: good basic fundamentals allow a golfer to swing the club in a natural way. By working together I will tailor the teaching programme to meet the aspirations of my pupils and maximise their own potential.
I’m very proud to be chosen as a Callaway Staff Player which has meant additional detailed training in custom fitting and club development which will help your game too.
I’ve been based at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre, Nottingham for just over one year now and I'd like to introduce you to my team of PGA Golf Professionals who are all here to help you achieve your individual golfing aspirations:
Matt Buckley
I have been a fully qualified PGA Golf Professional for over 15 years and have a wealth of experience in the development of all levels of golfers, from beginners looking to try the game through to fellow professionals striving for that little piece of inspiration to help them get past the winning post.I believe in firm fundamentals that have stood the test of time such as grip, posture and balance with the addition of modern theories studied from the best coaches in the world to suit the modern game.
I will ensure you get the best out your sessions and the most from the game.
Nick Houlden
I never trying to force any of my pupils into building the perfect swing – it simply doesn’t exist. I work closely with each pupil, from junior to elite, to ensure they have a good base in terms of grip, stance, posture and swing. This will help them to create a repeatable and balanced motion, maximising their enjoyment of the game both on and off the course.I’m also credited an Advanced Titleist Custom Fitter.
Tom Wilson
All golfers are different and must develop their game in a manner that suits them as individuals and relates to their personal goals. From beginners to expert I pride myself on being able to work with golfers of all levels in a fun yet effective manner. With good fundamentals and a positive mindset any golfer can improve their game. I have recently been passed as a Ping Expert Club fitter and I’m very happy to help you choose the right equipment for those extra 20 yards!Tom’s favourite quote: “If a lot of golfers gripped a knife and fork the way they do a golf club they would starve to death” (Sam Snead)
